Hello there.
Thanks for the visit and your time. Hope you find something useful. If you do, shoot me an email and let’s connect. This online space is a reflection of my thoughts and learnings thus far, and where I am going in the future – with my research and focus areas.
I was born in Bangalore, India, a city filled with vibrant culture and a deep economic heritage. Growing up, I was also surrounded by a variety of religious practices and traditions. However, my life took a significant turn when I was 13, when my father died and we had adapt to new schools, cities and cultures, as we moved to a different place to live. In 1999, I moved to the United States. This move opened up new opportunities and challenges for me, and it ultimately led me to seek truth in all the dark places for a deeper spiritual awakening that changed my life.
After I settled in the U.S., I began exploring different aspects of American life, including Christianity. Initially, I encountered Christianity through cultural exposure, but in 2003, I had a profound experience that would forever alter my path—I became a born-again Christian. This moment marked the beginning of a new chapter in my life, one centered on a personal relationship with Christ. I came to understand Christianity not as a set of rituals, but as a relationship with God, grounded in grace, love, and transformation through Jesus.
Since that pivotal moment, I have committed myself to following Christ with my whole heart. I have immersed myself in studying the Bible, seeking to understand its teachings deeply and to live them out daily. My journey has been one of continual growth, not only in my relationship with God but also in my desire to learn more about Christian theology and Scripture.
Along the way, I developed a passion for biblical scholarship. I’ve always believed that faith and reason can coexist, and I became increasingly interested in studying the Bible from an academic perspective. My desire to learn Scripture goes beyond personal devotion—I feel called to contribute to a broader understanding of the Bible and Christian tradition. I envision a future where I can combine my love for learning with my passion for teaching, helping others engage with the Bible in a meaningful and intellectually rigorous way. To me, academia is more than a career; it’s a calling. I want to serve both God and others by deepening the collective understanding of His Word.
As I look ahead, I’m excited about what’s to come. My journey—from Bangalore to the United States, and from Hinduism to Christianity—has shaped me in profound ways. It’s given me a unique perspective on faith, culture, and the importance of intellectual inquiry. My ultimate goal is to continue growing in my faith, to teach others, and to contribute to the academic community—all while remaining grounded in the love and grace I first encountered through Christ.
