WHAT’S TO LEARN
Research is critical as it deepens understanding of religious texts, traditions, and beliefs, enabling scholars to engage with historical contexts and contemporary issues. It fosters informed dialogue, bridging gaps between faiths and addressing ethical dilemmas in modern society.
We therefore seek to expand the thimble sized knowledge that we do have. With limited time, it is imperative that we use all the tools that are available in this day and age. These are the topics that I am typically working on.
CHURCH FOUNDATIONS
The five-fold ministry—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—working together is vital for a balanced and effective church. Each role complements the other, providing guidance, spiritual insight, outreach, care, and teaching. Their collaboration fosters unity, equips believers, and ensures the church’s holistic growth and mission fulfillment in the body of Christ. Yet we see the Pastoral role expanded and all other roles curtailed – in every part of the world. Have we asked why? What are we doing right, or wrong. This status quo is suspect and demands attention.
Apostle Paul’s Rhetorical Techniques
This research explores Apostle Paul’s rhetorical techniques in his epistles, focusing on his persuasive strategies, use of Greek rhetoric, and adaptation of Jewish and Greco-Roman rhetorical norms. The study aims to analyze Paul’s use of ethos, pathos, and logos to address diverse audiences, resolve conflicts, and establish authority. By examining key passages, this research seeks to provide insights into how Paul effectively communicated theological concepts and influenced early Christian communities. A 10 week coursework with supplementary training materials is expected out of this research.
Worldwide Missions
This research investigates the development and impact of worldwide missions, examining historical trajectories, theological foundations, and contemporary challenges. It aims to explore the strategies, motivations, and outcomes of global missionary movements across different eras, highlighting the roles of cultural adaptation, contextual theology, and indigenous leadership. By analyzing case studies and mission models, the study seeks to understand how global missions have shaped Christianity’s expansion and how they respond to modern socio-political and religious dynamics. Advanced coursework with supplementary training materials is also expected out of this research. A preliminary 10 week course course has been completed and will be available for publication shortly.
Technology Interplay
Utilizing the latest technology is crucial for the church to effectively spread the gospel and engage local communities. It enhances outreach, connects with younger generations, and enables global reach. By embracing digital tools, the church can foster deeper connections, support spiritual growth, and adapt to the evolving needs of its members. As a technologist, this is always be close to me. Yet we haven’t seen the end of it all.
