For a former Hindu who is now a Christian, studying Indian religion becomes imperative to understand my spiritual roots and the cultural context from which they emerged. It provides insight into the beliefs, practices, and worldview that was once embraced, enabling a deeper appreciation of our Christian faith. This study fosters empathy, equips us for meaningful dialogue with others, and strengthens our ability to share the gospel effectively within the Indian religious framework.
